Dear Graduate Student Association,

It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate for the role of Health and Wellbeing Officer to advocate for an inclusive and supportive environment at The University of Melbourne which maximises the success and happiness of all students. In this role, I will also work to improve accessibility to education and ensure that every individual at this institution is capable of meeting their potential. My goal is to foster a culture of inclusion where all students have equitable opportunities to succeed.

I bring experience in working across the welfare sector including in healthcare, education and the justice system, all of which would be invaluable in this role. Health and wellbeing are paramount in the pursuit of academic excellence in graduate study. In the role of Health and Wellbeing Officer, I will prioritise student wellbeing by promoting mental health resources, peer support initiatives, and an environment conducive to balance and self-care. Graduate study at the University is rigorous and highly demanding, and I aim to strengthen support systems that help students navigate these pressures.

I am passionate about ensuring every student feels heard and supported. By championing accessibility, equity, and wellbeing, I hope to create a more inclusive and compassionate learning environment for all students.
