How GSA represents graduate students
Every year, the graduate student body at the University of Melbourne vote to elect 11 selected representatives to form the GSA Representative Council.
The role of the Representative Council is to determine GSA’s position on issues affecting graduate students across the University, government and community levels.
All members of the GSA Representative Council are also Office Bearers. This means they look after the needs of particular groups of students, such as LGBTIQ+ students, International students, and students with families.
Any enrolled graduate student at the University of Melbourne is eligible to vote in GSA elections, however only GSA members are eligible to stand in elections which are held annually.
