Managing Stress and Anxiety through Mindfulness
May 27th, 12pm: Online Workshop

Learn how to manage stress and anxiety using mindfulness techniques with Dr. Haisu Sun in the comfort of your home! In this dynamic and interactive session, students will connect with instructor, Dr Haisu Sun, and peers to discuss their exam-related stress. We will explore mindfulness techniques to not only manage stress but also transform our relationship with it.

Meditation & Breathwork (in-person)

Take time to de-stress amid your exam revision or your thesis writing. This 50 min Meditation & Breathwork class will give you the much needed break to help you get back to your studies, refreshed and clear headed. Unwind with a wholesome combination of guided meditation and breathwork exercises. Studies have shown that the practice of breathwork and meditation helps relive stress and anxiety and enhances focus.

Study Support at the 1888 Building

Looking for a place to study on campus? The 1888 Building has a number of facilities and study rooms for graduate students. 

The 1888 Building is open from 8am – 11pm, during SWOTVAC week. Our front desk is manned from 9am – 5pm as normal business hours. Please Note: You will need your student card to access the building outside of business ours.

  •  Students can book private rooms via DiBS at the 1888 building to get work done or work in small groups.
  • There are also multiple shared study spaces across all floors of the 1888 building, Please check the map for locations.
  • Kitchen faciltiies with microwaves, fridges, boiling water and filtered water. Use them to keep your drinks cold, make yourself some coffee or tea, or warm up your home-made meal.
  • Food! GSA will provide free food throughout the entire week. We provide access to coffee, tea, water and juice, as well as a range of healthy and fun snacks across all days, such as noodle cups, muesli bars, cereals, yoghurt and more.
