A message from the General Secretary – September 2024
Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting of the GSA in May.
Having spent the last 2 years as the President of GSA, I was honoured to have been elected by the GSA Board as the General Secretary.
Ensuring the good governance of our GSA is the key role of the General Secretary, who chairs our dedicated Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. Working closely with the Treasurer of the GSA, our goal is to ensure that your student fees are diligently and effectively used.
To further support our governance and strategic direction, the GSA Board has created a range of working groups to help strengthen our events and services for International students, refine our electoral regulations, and to develop our new strategic plan.
The membership has passed a range of changes to GSA’s constitution to further enhance our governance practices, whilst also allowing a more flexible approach to how we work for the students. You may find the updated constitution HERE.
