Hello! My name is Wenchu Tang, an international journalism student and a Chinese Queer culture influencer. As an influencer, I’ve shared my thoughts online, helping many individuals navigate their experiences within the queer community. However, moving to Australia, I’ve been deeply touched by the inclusivity and attention given to queer individuals here, and it has inspired me to contribute more actively to the cause.

I am eager to use my platform and personal commitment to further support the queer community at the University of Melbourne. I believe that my background as a cultural influencer can help bring fresh perspectives and creative ideas to increase visibility and foster a more inclusive environment for queer students.

If elected as Queer Officer, I will work to create a space where queer students feel safe, heard, and valued. I am committed to advocating for resources and organizing events that empower the community and ensure their voices are always part of the conversation. My goal is to help the queer community feel even more comfortable and supported during their time at university.
