I am excited to express my interest in serving as one of these roles: Graduate Student Association (GSA) Board Member, Women’s officer, International Officer, where I can leverage my leadership experience, academic background, and passion for student advocacy to contribute meaningfully to our graduate community.
GSA Board Member:
With a strong foundation in biomedical sciences and hands-on experience in research, academic integrity, and student mentorship, I understand the challenges and aspirations of graduate students. My role as Chair of the Student Board at ENAI WG Centre for Academic Integrity has equipped me with skills in governance, event organization, and policy advocacy, ensuring that students have a voice in key academic and institutional decisions.
As a peer tutor, research assistant, and student leader, I have worked closely with diverse student groups, fostering collaboration, engagement, and professional development. If given the opportunity, I aim to enhance student support services, create networking platforms, and advocate for policies that promote academic and personal well-being.
I am committed to making the GSA a space where every student feels heard, supported, and empowered.
Women’s officer:
As Women’s Officer, I will focus on amplifying women’s voices, addressing gender-specific challenges, and promoting opportunities for leadership and career advancement. I aim to organize mentorship programs, networking events, and wellness initiatives that empower women in academia and beyond. Additionally, I will advocate for policies that support gender equity, mental health, and work-life balance for female graduate students.
International Officer :
As International Officer, I aim to enhance support services for international students, promote cross-cultural exchange, and advocate for policies that improve the international student experience. I will work to address key concerns such as integration, academic support, mental well-being, and career opportunities, ensuring that all international students feel valued and heard.
Education (Coursework) Officer:
As Education (Coursework) Officer, I aim to bridge the gap between students and faculty, advocate for curriculum enhancements, improve academic support services, and ensure a high-quality learning experience for all students. I will work to address concerns such as course structure, assessment fairness, academic resources, and student feedback mechanisms.
I am passionate about creating an academic environment where all students feel supported and empowered to excel. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute in any of the above roles to fulfill my duties and commitments to the University.
