Women’s Officer:
Having been a leader and advocate for women throughout my academic and professional journey, I believe in the power of uplifting and empowering women. During my time as the President of the Student Government Association and as a student trustee at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I worked to ensure that women had the support they needed to succeed in leadership roles. I understand the unique challenges women face and am committed to creating a space at the University of Melbourne where women can thrive, connect, and be heard. Whether through mental health support, career development, or advocating for equal opportunities, I will work to ensure that women feel supported in all areas of their university life.
International Officer:
As an international student, I’ve experienced the challenges of adapting to new environments firsthand. Moving from India to New York and now to Australia for my Master’s degree has been exciting and transformative. I understand the complexities of adjusting to life in a new country and am passionate about being a dedicated voice for international students. My goal is to ensure we have access to the resources and support needed for both academic success and personal well-being. From easing cultural transitions to advocating for improved career services, I am committed to fostering a more connected, supportive international student community at the University of Melbourne.
Environment and Sustainability Officer:
Sustainability is something I’ve always deeply cared about, and it’s a central part of both my academic journey and personal values. Through my undergraduate thesis on ethical, sustainable supply chains, I explored how businesses can make a positive impact on the Environment, and it really shaped my passion for finding practical solutions to today’s environmental challenges. Now, as I pursue my Master’s in Environment at the University of Melbourne, I want to bring this knowledge and drive to the campus. My aim is to help create a more sustainable university environment by pushing for greener practices, raising awareness about climate change, and working on initiatives that make a real difference. Sustainability isn’t just a topic for discussion—it’s something I believe we can and should actively practice every day in our community.
