Junlin (Jerry) Ge Education
(he/him)
Junlin (Jerry) Ge is a second-year Master of Teaching (Secondary) student. He has had the opportunity to study as an international student through both high school and university in Melbourne, giving him plenty of insight into the education system. Having been part of the University of Melbourne community for over four years, Jerry brings a long-term perspective on what works and what doesn’t within the university experience.
Jerry is passionate about advocating for the needs and voices of Faculty of Education students. Over the past year and a half, Jerry has observed changes within the faculty with limited student consultation. He has also noticed that wellbeing activities at or near faculty buildings are often poorly timed or inconsistently offered. He is committed to improving transparency and communication between the students and the faculty, as well as the student experience for the Faculty of Education students.
In addition to his appointment as GSA Education Faculty Officer, Jerry also serves as a Student Delegate at the Melbourne Student Forum. He has actively represented student concerns at the first two forums and remains dedicated to voicing their needs in upcoming sessions throughout the year.
