An update from the GSA President: September 2024
Dear Graduate Students,

I’m delighted to share with you that the Graduate Art Prize was a success! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted their work and joined us at the ceremony. We look forward to seeing more submissions next year.

Last month, GSA submitted findings from the Food Insecurity Survey to the Victorian government inquiry. From this, led to several recommendations to the university advocating for not only affordable, but healthy food on campus, as well as the expansion of the current food relief programs.

I would like to emphasize that your participation in surveys like this is invaluable in driving these efforts forward. I will work on continually providing updates on each area of advocacy in the upcoming President’s blogs, which can be found on our website.

Additionally, GSA has also been hard at work planning for the annual GSA Ball. More to be announced soon, so be on the look out!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at president@gsa.unimelb.edu.au.

Yours sincerely,
Ethan Chou
