Board Member Nominee
As a third-year Doctor of Physiotherapy student and a Punjabi-Canadian living in Australia, I am eager to join the GSA board to further contribute to our vibrant academic community and help create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.
Serving as the Vice President of the Melbourne University Physiotherapy Student Society (MUPSS) has provided me with valuable experience in advocacy, and fostering student connections. In this role, I work closely with peers to address student concerns, promote well-being, and enhance the academic experience. Additionally, my involvement with the IPEP-HSN Club last year allowed me to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, strengthening my ability to connect with diverse student groups and build inclusive spaces.
Joining the GSA board would allow me to further amplify student voices, advocate for equitable resources, and create initiatives that support student success. As a physiotherapy student, I am particularly invested in promoting wellness and ensuring that mental health resources are accessible to all students. My dedication to student life, combined with my leadership experience and commitment to diversity, makes me well-suited to represent and support the graduate student body as a GSA board member.
