This workshop is designed to help you manage stress and reconnect with yourself through mindful movement, breathwork and art making.
Take a mindful pause with this Creative Arts Therapy-based workshop designed to help you manage stress and reconnect with yourself. In this 1.5-hour group session, you’ll be gently guided through body-based mindfulness, calming breathwork, and expressive art-making in a supportive, therapeutic space.
This is a group experience that fosters emotional regulation, grounding, and connection with like-minded peers through self-awareness and creative reflection. No art experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity and openness.
Facilitated by two qualified Creative Arts Therapists and UniMelb alumni.
Time: 2.00pm – 3.30pm

What to bring: Comfortable clothing and a willingness to explore. Basic art materials will be provided.

About your facilitators:
Jasmine is a registered Creative Arts Therapist and a proud alumna of the University of Melbourne’s Master of Creative Arts Therapy program, with a specialization in Dance Movement Therapy. She is a professional member of both PACFA and ANZACATA, committed to offering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic spaces.
With a deep personal connection to movement and visual arts, Jasmine believes in the healing power of creative expression and embodied awareness. Her practice draws from her lifelong relationship with dance, and she holds a strong belief that art can be a portal to inner strength, emotional regulation, and connection with self and others.
As a therapist and facilitator, Jasmine brings a grounded, relational presence and a passion for co-creating spaces where people feel seen, safe, and supported.
Apeksha is a qualified Creative Arts Therapist specializing in Dance Movement Therapy. She is also a dancer, performer, choreographer, and visual artist who finds joy in creating work that tells stories and sparks connection. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma-informed, humanistic framework, weaving together her background in dance and her academic foundation in psychology.
Passionate about the healing power of embodied expression, Apeksha creates gentle, inclusive spaces where individuals can explore their inner world through movement, art, and mindfulness. She has facilitated therapy in diverse community and clinical settings, supporting people of all ages to build emotional resilience, regulate stress, and reconnect with their authentic selves.
