The Women in Tech & Health Speaker Series features four inspiring women sharing their journeys, achievements, and insights.

Celebrate Daffodil Day with GSA by recognising the achievements of women in tech and health.

Join us in the Gryphon Gallery (Level 1, 1888 Building) for an inspiring speaker event featuring three trailblazing women from the fields of tech and medical research.Hear their stories, ask questions, and leave feeling motivated by their journeys. A must-attend for students looking to connect, learn, and be inspired.

A complimentary lunch with beverages and dessert will be provided to all attendees

Vasso Apostolopoulos

Distinguished Professor, Medical Researcher, Immunologist

With over 30 years of leadership in vaccine research and research training, Professor Vasso has pioneered multi-disciplinary, industry-driven consortia with national and global impact. She has led major partnerships across universities, medical research institutes, industry, and community sectors. Her research spans immunology, drug development, and chronic diseases including cancer, autoimmune conditions, and mental health.

 

Deborah Scott

Manager of Business Analysis at Cenitex

Deborah is known for her creative leadership and passion for solving complex problems. With broad experience across government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors, she brings deep expertise in business analysis, tech delivery, and stakeholder engagement. Deborah is a collaborative leader who thrives on mentoring, continuous learning, and delivering customer value.

 

Rhiannon Yetsenga

Associate Director | Deloitte Access Economics

Rhiannon is specialising in the digital economy, gender economics, and the value of Australia’s arts and cultural sectors. She co-leads Deloitte’s gender economics practice and is a trusted media voice on economic issues. Rhiannon also serves on the Advisory Board of the Financy Women’s Index and is a passionate advocate for a more inclusive economy.

Venue accessibility: accessible entry is via the courtyards of 1888 Building (back of building) and a lift is located next to reception on the ground floor (near the West courtyard entry). There is an all gender accessible bathroom on Level 1.
