Join us in-person OR online for GSA's weekly Shut Up & Write sessions! These sessions aim to help Research students get more writing done.
Shut Up & Write sessions are part of a worldwide movement.
They’re regular, structured social writing sessions, designed to overcome isolation among Research students, while helping you beat procrastination. Graduate Research students can use these sessions to write well and write together, providing moral support and motivation.
We use the Pomodoro Technique (25 minutes writing with 5-minute breaks) to make sessions as productive as possible. You can work on anything you like, but you must be writing.
Sessions are hybrid and snacks are provided to those who attend in-person. Remember to choose the correct ticket type (online or in-person) so you will receive the Zoom link (for online).
In-person sessions are held in Room 102, Level 1 of the 1888 Building (Building 198).
We are running regular weekly sessions throughout the semester which will be a great support for study and help you beat procrastination. Please note that the weekly sessions are on alternate Thursday mornings (10am – 12pm) and Friday afternoons (2pm – 4pm).
