GSA Dance Exploration: Commercial Dance

Get your body moving and feeling good by learning how to dance Commercial style like in those music videos!

Commercial dance is a high-energy, versatile dance style often seen in music videos, live performances, and TV shows. It blends various dance genres, including hip-hop, jazz, and street dance, and focuses on creating dynamic and captivating choreography for entertainment purposes.

The Dance Exploration series is all about celebrating different dance styles from around the world and helping you loosen up and release some stress. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Get ready to move and groove to the beat with our talented instructors.

*Registrations for classes open 2 weeks before each class. Limited places. Please only book if you can attend, so you give others the opportunity to attend.

We will explore various dance styles every fortnight like:

Week 2 – Dominican Bachata

Week 4 – Commercial

Week 6 – Hip Hop

Week 8 – New Style Salsa

Semester Break – Choreography

Week 11 – TBC

Bonnie Su is a Melbourne/Naarm creative director, specialising in modern creative direction & dance choreography. Heavily driven by the art of story-telling, she has collaborated with hundreds of artists over the last decade to create varied, award-winning works for both screen and stage. Bonnie will teach the Commercial and Choreography dance style in this Dance Exploration series.
