My name is Emma Tam – I am a final-year Doctor of Medicine student who is currently on full-time clinical placement. Being an MDHS Faculty Councillor over the past year has allowed me to meet various students and stakeholders across various disciplines, and understand the unique challenges faced by graduate students, from academic and personal stressors, to navigating clinical and research environments. This has strengthened my commitment to ensuring that every student, both on and off campus, feels valued and heard. I would love the opportunity to continue working alongside you in building an inclusive and supportive graduate community – one that values diversity, equity, and the holistic well-being of all students.
