As both a parent and a graduate student, I deeply understand the challenges of balancing academic with family and caregiving responsibilities. Managing both can be overwhelming, and as a families officer, my goal is to ensure that student parents have the necessary resources and support to thrive in both areas. I am committed to helping student parents maximize their graduate school experience, not only academically but by fostering a well-rounded family life with opportunities for international exposure on campus. I believe that family and academic life should complement each other, allowing us to grow as students, parents, and engaged members of a diverse community. Furthermore, I believe it is essential to build a strong support system among student parents within the Graduate Student Association (GSA). By creating a community of emotional support, practical advice, and shared fellowship, no parent will have to face their challenges alone. I would be honoured to serve as a family representative, working to implement changes that promote balance, well-being, and a fulfilling experience for all.
