Conversion of student start-up scholarships to loans

GSA strongly opposes the federal legislation’s conversion of Student Start-up Scholarships into loans. These scholarships were designed to aid lower-income students with the expenses of education, and this change undermines the scheme’s intent by burdening disadvantaged students with additional debt upon completing their degrees.
