Faculty Council: Arts Nominee
I pay my due acknowledgement to the leadership of the Graduate Student Association [GSA]
Thank you for giving me the platform to participate in this progressive movement.
Dear fellow students, I am happy to write to you today as a candidate for the Faculty of Arts Representative.
My name is Jonathan. I am doing a graduate certificate in Arts for my Master of Development Studies.
I am expressing my interest with a vision for a better future for our faculty and the school community.
Having served as a course representative and student leader during my undergraduate studies at Abia State University, Nigeria, I understand the challenges and opportunities that we face daily as students and through social capital, we can develop ways that can influence and inspire changes within our learning environment.
I believe that every student deserves a voice, regardless of their sociocultural background, beliefs or opinions. Our administration would target advocating for inclusiveness and quality student’s service.
Achieving this is quite simple. We shall run our administration through a “Consultative approach”; a system of leadership that listens, asks, and carries out functions based on the collective ideas of the people being represented.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America advocated that “No one is good enough to govern another man without that other’s consent”
I am here my fellow students to solicit your support towards my aspiration.
I am pledging my uninterrupted dedication, doggedness and selflessness.
Our administration will be that of a vision-oriented movement that influences, guides and inspires action towards a unified and common purpose.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
I am passionate to serve you.
Best regards,
Jonathan.
