Heya! I’m Aanchal, a third-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student and the current International Officer for the GSA. This year, I’m running for a Board Member position to drive even greater change.

As International Officer, I’ve worked to uplift international student voices and create a stronger sense of belonging. From organizing cultural events like the International Fiesta, Moon Festival, and Diwali to launching the peer mentor – International Student Buddy Program and the International Student Employment Experience Survey on employment challenges, I’ve focused on making student life easier and more inclusive.

Now, I want to do more! As a Board Member, I’ll push for governance reforms to make GSA more efficient, streamline administrative processes, and introduce programs that keep up with student needs. I also want to ensure GSA’s funds are used purposefully—maximizing their impact on graduate student focused programs. Most importantly, I’ll make sure graduate student concerns reach decision-makers who can drive real change.
