Join the legal workshop to learn how to manage your club in alignment with proper legal structure.
This workshop is an opportunity for all committee members of Grad Groups to come together and learn about the key responsibilities of those that govern not-for-profit groups.
The following topics will be discussed:
– The role of committee members as decision makers
– Differences between governance and management
– Legal structure and status of your group
– Importance of rules/constitution and your purpose or objects
– Four key legal duties of committee members
– Potential liabilities, protecting yourself and your group
– Other relevant laws
– Top tips and additional resources to help in the future
