Michael Wilson
Research Fellow in Men’s Mental Health at Orygen
Michael Wilson (he/him) is a researcher at Orygen, University of Melbourne, focusing on men’s mental health and suicide prevention. His PhD explores men’s risk of suicidality after relationship breakdown, and he is passionate about amplifying men’s stories of resilience and recovery.
Trishal Peiris
Business Development Assistant at Cenitex
Trishal is a Business Development Associate at Cenitex, working with Victorian public sector organisations to deliver technology solutions. With a background in marketing and fintech, he also serves as an Intergenerational Advisor in Cenitex’s Diversity & Inclusion program and is an active advocate for mental health awareness.
Ruben Benakovic
Research Assistant in Young Men’s Mental Health
Ruben Benakovic is a PhD candidate and research assistant with Orygen at the University of Melbourne. His work focuses on men’s mental health, masculinities, and help-seeking, including training practitioners and evaluating university curricula. His PhD explores real-time fluctuations in young people’s self-harm and suicidality risk, and co-designing timely support solutions.
Fan Li
President of GSA grad group – GradChat
Fan is a final-year Master of Education student at the University of Melbourne with a background in Social Work and Psychology. With over four years’ experience supporting young people in higher education, Fan is passionate about health, advocacy, and empowerment. He currently leads GradChat, a postgraduate podcast community sharing student stories and perspectives.

Venue accessibility: accessible entry is via the courtyards of 1888 Building (back of building) and a lift is located next to reception on the ground floor (near the West courtyard entry). There is an all gender accessible bathroom on Level 1.
