About GSA  

The University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA) is an independent, student-led, not-for-profit association representing all enrolled postgraduate students at the University of Melbourne.  

We are led by a Council of 15 elected graduate students and managed by a team of experienced professionals, providing education-related programs and services which position our cohort for success during and after the completion of their advanced studies. A University of Melbourne postgraduate qualification is an incredible asset and GSA is committed to supporting these students through their study.  

Purpose of the intern role  

The GSA internship offers current graduate students professional experience and exposure to the workforce. Interns will be supported to develop skills in policy development, communications, and student engagement activities. Professional supervision and mentorship will be offered to the participants by trained and qualified staff. The program will provide participants the opportunity to learn soft and practical skills relevant to their future career development.    

Eligibility criteria  

Candidates must be studying in a graduate program at the University of Melbourne and seeking opportunities for professional development. Please keep up to date to hear about internship opportunities.
