From accomplishing your graduate degree at the University of Melbourne through to the start of your career, we want to be along for the journey. GSA offers internship opportunities to current graduate students at the University of Melbourne to foster growth from university to industry. The internship is an excellent opportunity for students to contribute to the graduate community and to expand their network.
About GSA
The University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA) is an independent, student-led, not-for-profit association representing all enrolled postgraduate students at the University of Melbourne.
We are led by a Board, Representative Council and Faculty Council totaling 38 elected graduate students. The organisation is managed by a team of experienced professionals who provide education-related programs and services which position our cohort for success during and after the completion of their advanced studies. A University of Melbourne postgraduate qualification is an incredible asset and GSA is committed to supporting these students through their studies.
Purpose of the intern role
The GSA Internship program offers current graduate students professional experience and exposure to the workforce. Interns will be supported to develop skills in policy development, communications, and student engagement activities. Professional supervision and mentorship will be offered to the participants by trained and qualified staff. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to learn soft and practical skills relevant to their future career development.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must be studying in a graduate program at the University of Melbourne and seeking opportunities for professional development.

GSA Intern Position Description
Positions are limited, with only 15 spaces available. Registrations are open until Sunday 27 February, selection will be conducted in Week 1 of Semester 1 and the program will start Week 3.
