There are a number of great resources for you below, to help you survive and thrive during the exam period.  Whether you need exam tips, help with Special Consideration, or just need a caffeine boost or a Yoga session to clear your mind – GSA has you covered!

GSA Vouchers and Activities

GSA Pilates with Yogamigos

Wednesday 10th November | 5:30 – 6:30pm

This free Pilates class is open to all grad students looking to get a bit of a workout. Yogamigos instructor Claudia will tailor each class to the participants’ needs, leaving you feeling strong and refreshed. Register here

GSA Yoga with Graduate Yoga Society

Every Tuesday and Thursday | 12:00 – 12:30pm

The Graduate Yoga Society are providing free lunchtime yoga sessions every Tuesday and Thursday through the exam period. You only need to register once via this link, then use that Zoom link to access any session.

GSA Art Class: Marks into Meaning

Friday 20th November | 3:00 – 4:00pm

Need to take a break and get those creative juices flowing? Grad student Nila has designed the perfect workshop for you. Join our fun, collaborative space and learn to adopt a new perspective, and see through the webcam lens. All you need is something to draw with, and something to draw on.  Food Voucher Support 

We can’t be on campus to provide our recharge snack station. Instead, we are making a limited number of vouchers ($10) available for all currently enrolled grad students to purchase some study snacks!Simply click on this link and fill in the form. Terms and Conditions apply


Coffee Support

Stay awake during SWOT Vac and Exams two free coffees a week. We’re approaching another exam period where we cannot be on campus to support you. Luckily restrictions are easing, and we have partnered with a number of cafes to keep you caffeinated, on us!

Academic Skills has a number of resources available for exam prep and how to study effectively utilizing stress management, time management, motivation, weekly planners and more!
The University provides comprehensive advice and information that covers before your exam, on the day, and after your exam.

  • Technical Support – advice resources and support
  • Academic Integrity – how to ensure appropriate scholarly conduct and practices online
  • Special Consideration (technical) – Special consideration (technical) is intended for major technical issues that prevent you from submitting your online assessment. If you are sitting an exam, you must first contact exam support to resolve any issues within the exam time before applying for special consideration (technical). See details and steps to apply

Visit After your exam for:

  • Results – when are they released, how to access and understand your grades, what to do if you are missing results.
  • Special Consideration – explains the different types, and what would be right for you if you experience significant disruption.

Food support:

Foodbank International Student Pop-Up Store – International students are welcome to come along and choose from a diverse range of fresh product, pantry and staple items. Students need to being along a shopping bag or cart, along with a student ID. Located at Aurora Melbourne Central, 230 LaTrobe Street. Open: 10am – 2pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Free Meal packs are still available through the University of Melbourne. To help support students, the University has partnered with SecondBite and Lentil As Anything, both local not-for-profit organisations, to provide healthy and free meals to students. Register your interest for further information.

Ask Izzy is a database you can use to search for Food (and other) support based on your suburb.

CAPS Mindful Moments

These webinars will be running every Wednesday and Friday until the end of exam period. They aim to introduce the experience of cultivating calm and wellbeing from within. The session run from 12:00 – 12:30pm and you can register here.

Guided exercise recordings
