Hi, I am Xiangyu (Brian) Su, from China, and I am currently a first-year student majoring in Master of Information System. It is a great honor to participate in this GSA campaign. GSA was founded in 1994 and the main purposes were to promote academic and professional support services and fostering a sense of community amongst graduate students, which coincides with my goals of joining GSA. When I was an undergraduate, I served as a vice president of the college’s sports, a manager of the school American football team, and organized many activities. Meanwhile, I was also a captain of the track and field team in high school. Through these experiences, I cultivated my leadership and the awareness of serving others. I’m keen on embracing diversity and make friends from different countries and backgrounds. It’s a great feeling when people from different backgrounds come together to exchange ideas. In terms of working hours, I meet the time work requirements set by GSA and will abide by GSA guidelines. I hope that through my effort, the students of our community will be closer together, and the happiness and sense of belonging will be enhanced.
