Namaskar, I’m Om Parulekar, a current Master of Management (Finance) student at the University of Melbourne and proud to serve as an Activities Officer for the Graduate Student Association (GSA). With a background in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from PICT, Pune, and strong interests in finance, strategy, and community engagement, I’m passionate about creating meaningful, inclusive experiences for graduate students on campus.

My journey blends technical expertise in programming with leadership and service—from leading my college chess team to volunteering in Covid care camps and managing fundraising initiatives. Now, as part of the GSA, I’m excited to help design events and activities that foster connection, wellness, and fun across our diverse graduate community.

Whether it’s planning social mixers, academic support initiatives, or tournaments (yes, I still love chess!), I believe in building a vibrant and supportive student life that goes beyond the classroom. I look forward to working closely with fellow students and the GSA team to make our time at Melbourne truly memorable.
