My name is Jeremy, I’m the current GSA President and a Juris Doctor student running with Together for the GSA Board. I’m passionate about effective student representation and involvement in the graduate student community having worked on reforms to boost representation at GSA, and I’m now running to ensure that they are implemented to best centre graduate voices at the heart of GSA’s work. The past year I’ve helped achieve hard-fought wins for coursework and research students through GSA and on Academic Board, and have supported increased involvement for international students by establishing an international student-led subcommittee at GSA. I always prioritise collaboration with strong relationships with Grad Groups and partners such as UMSU, CISA and CAPA – where I’m a current board member. I have also worked hard to improve graduate student experiences including quality of education for online and offshore students, served on the New Student Precinct Steering Committee, supported GSA programs such as LEAD and FairsFare and worked with the Women’s Officer on vital SA/SH initiatives. With the required passion, skills and experience to get things done for graduate students Vote 1 for me for the GSA Board and Vote 1 for Together: Progressive, Inclusive, Accountable.
