GSA supports the University of Melbourne’s policy restricting the use of professional editors for research theses, advocating for opportunities to enhance academic writing skills instead. GSA contends that research theses should reflect the individual efforts of graduate researchers, and increased support for academic writing skill development will enhance the quality of candidates, ensuring their success in degrees and future careers.
