An update from the GSA President: March 2025
Dear Graduate Students,
I am pleased to announce that our 2030 Strategic Plan: Sustaining Our Legacy officially launched last Friday. This key document will guide GSA over the next five years, emphasizing our unique position, value, and adaptability in a changing environment, all with the goal of continuously improving the graduate experience. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this process last year.
I am also thrilled to share that the Campus Canteen is now open in Parkville and will soon launch in Southbank. Offering $5 meals throughout the day, this initiative was made possible through our advocacy on food insecurity, working in collaboration with the UOM food security working group and your inputs from last year’s surveys. We would like to thank everyone involved in this initiative, especially the Student and Scholarly Services team. GSA remains committed to pushing for better food access at regional campuses as well.
Lastly, nominations for the 2025 GSA elections are now open. If you are passionate about student advocacy and engagement, we encourage you to apply.
We especially welcome nominations from LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and First Nations students
