Nomination period extended
The nomination period for our Faculty Council and vacant Representative Council roles has been extended. These are now open until midday Saturday 31 July 2021.

Roles available
GSA’s new Constitution, adopted in 2020, provides leadership roles for 38 graduate students, including 20 positions on the Faculty Council.
In addition, we have two Representative Council positions also open for nominations:
- Families Officer
- Indigenous Officer
The Faculty Council serves as a subcommittee, advising the Board and Representative Council about service delivery, representation and policy work in their respective faculties. The Council is made up of two Members from each of the 10 faculties:
- Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
- Faculty of Arts
- Faculty of Business and Economics
- Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
- Faculty of Fine Arts and Music
- Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences
- Melbourne Graduate School of Education
- Melbourne Law School

Key dates
Nominations: opens 9am Friday 28 May 2021 and closes at midday Saturday 31 July 2021.
Candidate information session: 5.30pm Tuesday 3 August 2021
Voting: opens 11 August 2021 and closes 25 August 2021.
Election results will be announced soon after the voting closes.
