Board Member and Engineering and IT Nominee:

Hello fellow students,

My name is Nigel Khine and as an independent candidate, I am committed to representing the diverse interests and needs of our UniMelb graduate community.

Having started my Masters during COVID, I have seen the decline in the student experience as we will Zoomed in to online classes from home.

Now we’re back on campus, there is an incredible opportunity and potential to bring back the high levels of engagement and enthusiasm we once all enjoyed.

The UniMelb experience is more than just the classroom, it’s about the networks and experiences and friends you make. By supporting student groups to hold meaningful and engaging events, this will lay the groundwork for greater student engagement, for both international and local students alike.

As your candidate for the GSA, I am particularly focused on addressing key issues such as mental health support, accessibility, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion.

I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve as your representative, and I ask for your support and vote in the upcoming election.

Together, let’s build a greater graduate experience at UniMelb.

Thank you.
