Board Member and Women's Officer Nominee:

Board Member Nominee:

My name is Florence (she/her) and I am a lifetime learner. I am currently studying a Masters in Evaluation part time, whilst working in state government. I have a passion for equity and strive to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for all; particularly for the marginalised and disadvantaged. I always strive to lead with kindness, honesty, and humility. I look forward to the opportunity to listen, grow, and represent our diverse graduate student community.

Women’s Officer Nominee:

My name is Florence (she/her) and I am a proud feminist, at times a ‘bad feminist’ too. It was not always this way.

I grew up in a traditional Chinese family; my parents are first generation Australian immigrants. Through my studies and first role within a women’s health organisation, I explored gender equity, social determinants of health, intersectionality, and so many other concepts. It deeply shifted the lens in which I saw the world. This lens is how I now approach life.

I acknowledge my privilege; I am a lifetime learner and currently studying a Masters in Evaluation part time, whilst working in state government.

I look forward to the opportunity to listen, grow, and speak up for women and those who identify as women in our graduate student community to enact the changes we envision!
