Ever wondered what it would be like to live on Mars? Join us for a fascinating presentation about Lisa’s experience in a Mars simulator!

Lisa will be discussing their role in the NASA HI-SEAS VI Mars Simulator mission and the path that brought them to their exciting career. Analogue missions are the closest humanity has come to living the Mars life and Lisa is keen to share her experience and answer all your questions!

Lisa is a biologist and science communicator, with a passion for all things space! In 2018 they were a crew member on the sixth iteration of the NASA funded Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS) mission, an eight-month research study of human behavior and performance. Located approximately 8,200 feet above sea level, the HI-SEAS habitat is a 1,200 square foot dome located on a Mars-like site on the Mauna Loa volcano on Hawaii Island. This mission aimed to simulate conditions of long term space travel and help to determine individual and team requirements for long-duration space exploration missions, including travel to Mars.
