Peer to Publish: Navigating the Peer Review Process
Publishing is a crucial part of establishing and maintaining an academic career. Every year, countless researchers will send off articles to journals. Before being accepted for publication, or rejected, these articles must be scrutinised by anonymous readers.
In this 3 hour workshop, Dr. Jay Daniel Thompson will lead a discussion about the peer review process itself. The facilitator will draw on his experience as a reader for various journals, as well as for an academic publisher.
The workshop will detail the peer review process and discuss ways of responding to feedback given by reviewers. Participants will also be asked to review a piece of writing assigned by the facilitator. Please bring your laptop.
Refreshments will be provided.
Strictly limited places.
