As part of GSA's Dance Exploration series, we'll bring different styles of dance for our students to learn, every fortnight. Time to dance!
Freestyle hip hop dance is characterized by improvisation and spontaneity, where dancers create movements on the spot without pre-planned choreography. It emphasizes individuality and creativity, allowing dancers to express themselves through unique, on-the-fly movement. While freestyle can be incorporated into many dance styles, it’s particularly prominent in hip hop, where dancers often engage in battles or cyphers, showcasing their freestyle skills.
Location: Dance Studio 304, Building 199 (Stop 1 Building)(Click to view video to find the location)
