Meditate and Illuminate: Miniature Painting Workshop

Join us for a journey into the art of Persian miniature painting. This workshop covers essential techniques, including paper preparation, drawing nature scenes, transferring designs, selecting colour combinations, layering colours, and adding intricate details.

Designed for beginners, this class introduces the basics of Persian miniature painting and helps participants enhance their focus and attention to detail. It’s ideal for Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences graduates looking to complement their academic skills with practical artistic methods. No experience necessary, beginner friendly.

Art supplies provided.

Duration: 120 mins

Knowledge level: Beginner-friendly

Each workshop includes:

– Research on recent developments on brain activity that relates to drawing

– New insights on the use of drawing techniques in the corporate world and in education

– Detailed advice on how to apply basic skills of art making to resolve problems

PLEASE NOTE: this event is only for postgraduate students of University of Melbourne. When you login to Eventbrite to register, please use your UoM student email. Orders made that do not include a UoM student email and ID will be cancelled.

Venue accessibility: accessible entry is via the courtyards of 1888 Building (back of building) and a lift is located next to reception on the ground floor (near the West courtyard entry). There is an all gender accessible bathroom on Level 1.
