FreeWelcome to the prestigious GSA Graduate Art Prize! This amazing event happens every year to showcase the incredible creativity of our students beyond their studies. Held at The Arts Centre Melbourne, this year’s GSA Graduate Art Prize will be a vibrant celebration of talent and innovation.
Theme: Community
This year’s art prize theme of ‘community’ was chosen to highlight the immense power of human connections and the significance of collective experiences. By exploring the theme of community, students have the opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of diverse cultures, shared stories, and the profound impact that communities have on shaping our identities and fostering a sense of belonging.
Prizes
Cash prizes will be awarded to our winners. The winners will be judged by a panel of experts in our community and the People’s Choice Award will be determined by you! Information on voting for the People’s Choice Award will be available after submissions close.
- First Prize – $3,000 cash prize
- Second Prize – $1,000 cash prize
- Third Prize – $750 cash prize
- People’s Choice Award – $500 cash prize
- Personal Experience Award – $500 cash prize
- Global Resilience Thinking Award – $250 cash prize
- Innovation Award – $250 cash prize
Submissions
Submissions will open at 9am on Monday 19th June 2023 and close at 9am on August 7th 2023, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Your work can be either
- – Digital art
- – Photographs
- – A clear photograph of a physical piece of work e.g. a picture of a 2D or 3D piece of work
