This workshop presents a broad range of subjects and techniques aimed to build your proficiency and confidence with watercolour through a variety of self-initiated projects.

Materials

Paint

Students are encouraged to bring all sorts of colours they wish to use in this workshop to paint with, however these options are most suitable for beginners.

• Warm/cool yellow
• Warm/cool blue
• Warm/cool red
• Black

Brushes

A range of soft watercolour brushes, mostly rounds and a few flat – natural fibres are best, followed by good quality synthetics.

•  Two brushes minimum with one small round brush with a fine point

Paper

• Three sheets of watercolour paper
• 140lb/300gsm or heavier

Other

• Lead pencils
• Paper towel
• 3 reusable water cups
• Reusable or disposable paint palette
