Beginners Contemporary Watercolour
Learn the techniques of contemporary watercolour!
This workshop presents a broad range of subjects and techniques aimed to build your proficiency and confidence with watercolour through a variety of self-initiated projects.
Have fun and gain confidence in watercolour, while receiving practical guidance that responds to your interests and encourages the development of a personal painting language.

Knowledge Required: Beginner-friendly
Students are encouraged to bring all sorts of colours they wish to use in this workshop to paint with, however these options are most suitable for beginners.
- Warm/cool yellow
- Warm/cool blue
- Warm/cool red
A range of soft watercolour brushes, mostly rounds and a few flat – natural fibres are best, followed by good quality synthetics.
- Two brushes minimum with one small round brush with a fine point
- Three sheets of watercolour paper
- 140lb/300gsm or heavier
- Lead pencils
- Paper towel
- 3 reusable water cups
- Reusable or disposable paint palette
