Grad Groups are formed by affiliating with GSA. Affiliation provides benefits such as:

  • Training
  • Networking through GSA
  • Special Grad Group–only events
  • Insurance

Grad Group Affiliation Form

Grad Group Form (New affiliation)

To affiliate with GSA, your group will need to provide ALL of the information and documents below:

- A valid constitution
- Meeting minutes of the Inaugural General Meeting (IGM)
- Motion from IGM to affiliate with GSA
- Membership list (name, student number, email, course of study etc.)
- Bank account details
- Signatory details for your group's bank account
- Group committee members' contact details

NOTE: Submitting an application without all the required documents and information may cause delay in assessing your application. We highly suggest your group to get ready all of the documents before you submit your application. Constitution

Required items to be included in the constitution:

- Procedures and quorums for general meetings (e.g. AGM, SGM, Special Resolution etc.)
- The executive structure of the group
- A restriction that the group operates as a not-for-profit entity
- A wind up clause (see clause 2.2 of the Grad Group Procedures)
- The aims of the group (in accordance with clause 2.3 of the Grad Group Procedures)
- Membership requirements (in accordance with clause 2.4 of the Grad Group Procedures)
- Appropriate disciplinary and dispute resolution procedures

- motion appointing at least two signatories to bank account
