Taylor Broadbent is an indigenous international student from Oklahoma, USA. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Letters – Constitutional Studies from the University of Oklahoma, and is pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne. She has extensive policy experience including roles at the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs and the South Central Climate Adaptation Sciences Center. Taylor was an author on the Fifth National Climate Assessment and served as a Congressional Intern for Senator (then Congressmen) Markwayne Mullin. She is a recipient of the US Fulbright Scholar Anne Wexler Scholarship in Public Policy, the Stewart & Morris Udall Foundation Scholarship, and was a Rhodes Scholarship finalist. Taylor is passionate about Indigenous governance, civic engagement, and gender equity. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
