  • Entrants must be enrolled graduate students of the University of Melbourne.
  • VCA students who are undertaking art-related study are welcome to enter the competition, but they must be able to demonstrate how their submission is outside their field of expertise. To have a chance at winning the competition, you'll need to demonstrate what you can do outside your area of study.

What's it all about?

Express yourself: The prize is all about giving graduate students a chance to express themselves outside their study discipline.

Submissions can be 2D or 3D physical entries.

  • Paintings
  • Drawings
  • Sculpture
  • Pottery and ceramics
  • Jewellery
  • Maquette
  • Photography
